Or is it that its a massager if you have a car, and its German, and perhaps German cars have a cervix,
At least this ads heart is in the right place since a glass of spirits is planning on meeting me! woo hoo!

When searching online on Taobao, China's Amazon, I use a translation app. Now this works in many ways, but at the same time, it lends itself to funny moments as well, as they are far from perfect. I can't even guess what "Strawberry flavor feces" is suppose to be in Chinese. Perhaps I don't even want to know.... Well, at least those who are watching the baby are attentive....... This is a pretty impressive device, as its a car, and a massager, and not only that, it manages to get your cervix, shoulder AND waist. Or is it that its a massager if you have a car, and its German, and perhaps German cars have a cervix, Even if I needed snack food tongs, I don't imagine I would ever be using it to move on single potato chip. At least this ads heart is in the right place since a glass of spirits is planning on meeting me! woo hoo! In this case, I think that the "pig bloodball" is accurate. Now that is scary.

In the market there are many times odd combinations of items. I should start documenting them all, but when you buy Crest, you get a glass bowl? Of course!
Warning, lousy pictures, made with an old lousy phone that will soon be replaced. About 13 of us went out to a local bbq place. It was a wonderful and interesting night. Lots of food and merriment, and hopefully some of that is captured. Colin who has been China for the past 9 years was the Master of Ceremonies, setting up a larger table. Making sure we got what we needed. He did all the ordering and we just sat back and enjoyed. Its nice when someone can run the show for you. Lamb chunks that were so good. Below, what do you think that is? The part that isn't the sunflower seeds. Answer after the picture. As you probably guessed, its duck tongue. We got spicy duck tongue and not spicy duck tongue. No, I didn't eat any because I am not that adventurous. There is a cartilage kind of thing in the middle of it if you were wondering.
The colors and lighting stink, but there is some eggplant, potatoes, wings and shrimp below. The shrimp looked wonderful and I was all excited, since it looked like it was cheese there, but it wasn't. A glob of mayo with mustard. What a disappointment! I lost a crown. On that beautiful day in the park, I lost a crown while eating one of the spirally potato snacks. If it came out on that it was just a matter of time. Yuck. Stupid teeth.
Fortunately I didn't chomp down on it when it came out. Thankfully it didn't hurt, but stupid teeth. Anyway, after a few WeChat messages to someone at school, (remember we were on break) I got the directions to a dentist which Trish and I visited. Not surprisingly the lady at the front desk had no English skills and she scurried away and out came three ladies. Two obviously knew no English and the other was translating. We were asking questions, we were getting answers through the translator and it occurred to me, that the translator had on a bib, like she had just been sitting in the chair. Sure enough, she was a patient and the other two were dentist, but she came out of her seat and her dental visit to talk with the crazy foreigners that stopped in. I felt bad, as I thought she was working with the dental place. Normally they have a translator, but she had off for the holiday, so we got a kind hearted patient instead. Turns out, we have to start with an x-ray. 10 RMB for that, which is about $1.60 USD. And they took me right back to get that done. I have to get the post removed, have it cleaned up, a temporary and then a new crown. Its not India cheap, it will be $500-$1500 depending on the tooth material and some other odds and ends. It was hard to tell as the patient didn't have the medical language to speak completely with us about our questions. Nonetheless, it has to be done. So on Sunday, yes Sunday, at 8 am, I get to go find out more about Chinese dentistry. Lucky me....... |
